The One Minute Chronicle: Hunt was Bush CIA Handler

If anyone thought that famed CIA spook E Howard Hunt truly spilled his despicable guts before he died, he is in for a disappointment. Hunt, we learned,  was once George Bush’s CIA case officer.

Many of a certain age will recall George Bush’s adamant non-denial denial that he was ever a part of the CIA, especially around the time of his presidential bid in the 1988 election and even more so when Kennedy murder accessory after the fact Gerald Ford appointed Bush CIA director in 1976. It turns out that Bush was lying yet again.

Bush was associated with the CIA at least as early as the 1950s through his Zapata Oil company, a front the spy agency used to gather intelligence and perform operations against its paymaster’s enemies in the Caribbean during the Cold War era.  These relationships are well documented in Russ Baker’s A Family of Secrets.

It is also well known that Hunt and anti-Semitic journalist William Buckley were pals going back to the latter’s days at the agency right about the time of his Yale studies. Yale is a well known recruiting ground for the CIA, George Bush’s alma mater, if you believe that he actually graduated from Yale. In fact many of the agency’s earliest founders graduated from the university, including murderer James Jesus Angleton.

What is news to us, however, is Hunt’s role in regards to Bush. According to Joseph McBride, in his latest book, Into the Midnight, he relays a tip he got from a reporter when he attempted to interview a man named Parrot whom Bush attempted to insinuate into the plot to murder Kennedy.

McBride cautions readers to take the information with a grain of salt, but we will pass the salt to someone else. The report came from the wife of a partner of Hugh Leidtke, one of Bush’s earliest partners with Zapata. Therefore, we suspect that the information is reliable, at least in spirit if not in substance.

In other news, we discovered that George Bush made a comment in the Houston Post a day or two prior to the arrival of Kennedy in Texas stating that if there is any trouble, it won’t be from the Republicans. So here is one of the co-conspirators in the murder essentially confessing to it. Why would anyone make such a juvenile statement unless he knew there would be trouble? It was a cheap form of plausible deniability. And yet the former president cannot remember where he was on November 22, 1963.

Yes, there was much hostility from a few isolated segments of Texas, most notably big oil, but thousands upon thousands turned out in the City of Hate to cheer the president.

Thus we have uncovered another nugget of truth into the workings of the spy community of the Cold War, made up of the military industrial complex and its plutocratic overlords.

Is James Buckley a Murderer?

Two deaths which shocked Washington, D. C. on September 18, 1976 were the murders of Ronni Moffitt, a 25 year old American, and Orlando Letelier, the foreign minister of the Allende government ousted by a CIA coup in 1973, both of whom were assassinated in the nation’s capitol. The two murders were quickly swept under the rug by the CIA, but the reason for doing so is rather shocking. There is strong evidence that James Buckley (b. 1923), brother of former CIA agent William Buckley (1925 – 2008), and a retired federal judge, ordered and managed the murders of these two individuals.

The Buckley family has deep oil and intelligence ties converging in its Pantepec Oil Company which moved from Mexico following revolution of 1917 to Venezuelan oil fields. William Buckley, a Yale graduate who started his neo-con National Review as a means to further CIA interests, was an admitted CIA agent who maintained a very close friendship with E Howard Hunt, the infamous paymaster in the John Kennedy murder.

It is also noteworthy that both William Buckley and George Bush were close friends as one would expect of two Skull and Bones alumni.

The CIA, whose director at the time was George Bush, swung into action when DINA, the intelligence arm of the brutal Pinochet regime of Chile, informed him that it was the perpetrator of the two murders. Mark Lane reports in his book, Last Word, that Jeremiah O’Leary of the Washington Star, and William Buckley lead the misinformation campaign denying any connection between the Pinochet regime and the assassinations.

As fate would have it, new information about the case emerged from Michael Townley, a former DINA agent with CIA contacts, who admitted as part of a plea bargain that he had been a professional assassin for DINA and that he and others had murdered Moffitt and Letelier. Furthermore, Guillermo Novo, an assassin in the Kennedy murder, testified in court that Townley was a CIA contract murderer, which agency was behind the murders.

Lane also reports that the plea bargain stipulated that the Department of Justice omit any public reference to Chile and DINA in the two slayings. However, the real cover-up involved testimony by FBI Special Agent Larry Wack who described the steps which Townley took when he arrived at John F. Kennedy Airport in preparation for his assignment.

The itinerary included a stop at 500 Fifth Avenue, in New York City, on the 41st floor which was the office of a New York US senator who happened to be James Buckley. Townley and Novo were accompanied by the latter’s cousin, William Sampol. All three convicted murderers were in the presence of their employer James Buckley, yet the United State Attorney’s Office refused to follow up on the information.

We believe that the CIA drenched Buckleys both had knowledge of and primary responsibility for the murder of Orlando Letelier and Ronni Moffitt, an allegation for which criminal charges and prosecution should be pursued.

Guess Who Is Coming To Dinner?

If you were a progeny of the Bush’s or Buckley’s you would not dare to bring home a Jew or Black person especially in connection with dating or marriage. We have two vignettes by two different authors attesting to the Aryan ideals of each family.

Our first episode comes from A Family of Secrets by Russ Baker who reports Barbara Bush’s hostility to Jews. As the stodgily coiffed matron of the Bush White Anglo Saxon Protestant clan she stood guard over the family’s purity.

Baker reports on the engagement of George W. Bush to Cathryn Wolfman which, after its announcement in a local paper, entirely disappeared with nary a trace. Baker relates former Bush friend Cody Shearer as stating that Barbara could not “abide the fact Cathryn’s stepfather was Jewish.” “ There’ll be no Jews in our family,” she quoted the former first lady.

At this point we have to ask if it matters. After all, many Jews, relying on Biblical injunction, refuse to intermarry and forbid their children from doing likewise. The regard for racial purity is a two way street. In any event, ought not people be allowed to associate as they chose?

I don’t think that anyone would begrudge another to associate freely, but we know that behind this desire to maintain the WASP bloodline is a deep antipathy - if perhaps hatred - for Jews animating the choice. In the Bush case, it is very clear since it was only Cathryn’s stepfather who was Jewish. In any event the Bush’s attitude is entirely disgusting. They, in my opinion, are clearly anti-Semitic.

Can anyone imagine Barbara Bush’s reaction if George brought home a black woman for dinner?

Our next episode of elitist anti-Semitism comes from Plausible Denial by Mark Lane, the erudite lawyer who defended The Spotlight against a defamation suit brought about by Kennedy co-assassin E. Howard Hunt.

He reports the odious, arrogant, and obnoxious William Buckley, whom he defeated in another lawsuit, who cited in court as an example of his unbigoted nature the fact that he invited someone Jewish to a party he hosted. Lane noted that Buckley used six syllables to say Jewish in order to communicate his disgust for Jewish people.

That the bilious Buckley held these views is no surprise – he of Catholic persuasion. We can only imagine the limitation of the friendship of the Buckleys and Bushs due to the former’s Catholicity. But as a fellow Bonesman, all was forgiven without doubt.

I am sure that Buckley loved Catholicism due to its highly authoritarian and hierarchical nature.

So Buckley pulled a trick from his CIA days – which contrary to his protestations continued all the days of his life – the trick of plausible deniability – to evade accusations of anti-Semitism by inviting a “JJeewwiissh” person to a party.

Can there be any rational explanation about the anti-Semitism of these people and why Americans accord them such high office and respect?
